Headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, The Grief Center is an organization that provides help to those who have lost a loved one. They were originally known as the Children's Grief Center of New Mexico, but they have since expanded to include adult services and resources.
Since 2013, I have volunteered my time to help them in any way possible. For 5+ years, I helped with the school-year free program for children from ages 5 to 25 in Albuquerque. I also volunteer for their free annual summer camp, known as Camp Corazón, which reaches out to kids throughout New Mexico to participate in a 2.5 day camp that rotates around the state each year. I still fly back to volunteer with the camp, as it is one of the most fulfilling things I do with my life.
