A: I have had many vendor certifications in the past from companies like Cisco, Juniper, BICSI, and more, and I found that employers don't put much emphasis on certifications after I'm hired. I prefer to focus on training that is specific to the industry I'm working in and the technology that is used in that industry, so I typically get certifications after employment, instead of before.
