I enjoy gaming in my spare time and I especially like to host the game servers and backend software/hardware. I not only host my own servers but I also host game servers for other people and keep them maintained myself. I also stream my gaming online and have separate hardware for streaming functions.
In order to not only keep my skills up to date and learn about new technologies (or at least new to me) I will use myself and my home network as a guinea pig. Utilizing recycled hardware and open source software, as well as utilizing efficient and effective software, I am able to run multiple servers and dozens of devices from one home internet connection.
I have been an avid pool player since I was a teenager and I have competed in leagues and competitions since I was 18. The journey has had many exciting and rewarding experiences in billiards, which includes getting to compete in two national billiard competitions in Las Vegas, NV.
I have been a hobbyist photographer for more than 15 years, with a primary focus on nature and landscape photography. I thoroughly enjoy bringing my camera on my travels and capturing rare moments and unique natural beauty as I go.
I thoroughly enjoy road trips and have developed a set of rules to help me become more of a wanderer than a traveler. I don't plan the trip and it's route, rather I pick the route on-the-spot on a PAPER map and travel in that direction. I keep a list of places I want to see and pick one or to to go to along the way, but there is no destination. I also avoid freeways and popular routes, preferring to take the country roads and local highways instead. I don't plan hotels ahead of time, either, as I never know where I'm going to be at the end of the day.
